VAUXHALL’S stylish baby car has appeared in a more performance-oriented form at the Geneva Motor Show. The Adam S uses the familiar 1.4-litre engine already seen in the standard Adam but here it comes in turbocharged form to release 148bhp and 162lb.ft of torque, significantly more than the current most powerful Adam model. As with other sporty Vauxhall models the Adam S has chassis upgrades including bigger wheels and tyres, stiffened and lowered suspension and high specification brakes.

Lotus has unveiled a new limited-edition Exige S with the moniker LF1, paying tribute to its 81 Grand Prix victories. Dressed in the official colours of the Lotus F1 team, the black-gold Exige S with red accents will be limited to 81 units. Each one is individually numbered with a carbonfibre build plate.
It’s another MINI limited edition model – the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4 Dakar – this time to celebrate MINI’s Dakar successes. We all know MINI loves a special edition, and it’s got to the point where there seem to be more ‘special edition’ and ‘limited edition’ MINI’s rolling out of showrooms than the bog standard car. But this limited edition – the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4 Dakar – really is a limited edition, produced to celebrate MINI’s Dakar triumphs in the last couple of years, as there will be just 11 made.
